I was never very good at manipulating the curriculum to suit different age groups. It takes a lot of patience and organizational skills....of which I have neither.<br /><br />I distinctly remember the day that we were working on sounding out words and our second son was struggling with the word RAT. I kept saying rrr...at, rrr...at, rrr...at, and suddenly he had a Eureka moment and with a huge smile on his face, blurted out..."TOM!" One whole week! What are they learning?<br /><br />But I don't see how parents homeschool. Parenting seems so difficult as it is--add in teaching as well? Oy vey!
