Note the parkway beds with mini-fences, those are our potatoes. We covered them with straw this week....now we'll see what the neighbors really think about our front-yard 'farm'.

Sign me up! I so want to start some kind of garden. I am truly inspired by this video but more so by your example! C'mon over and show us how!
Name the day...I'm not kidding (and I have no life :)
Let me talk to Jim.... I almost called you this morning. Seriously!
Maureen,
Do you want to do some consuting up north? We have somewhat of a blank sheet to work from at the new house, and the character of the house( built in 1934 ) would suit this well.
Hope all is well.

So beautiful Maureen!
I think it looks great! I love that picture...especially the kitty in the street. :)
I love the idea of a front yard garden... and you might be surprised by your neighbors. They'll be curious for sure. I wish more people would take the plunge and convert lawn (esp. front lawn) to garden. Way to go!
And I think your home and garden looks just lovely in its youth. What a nice blog. thanks!
